TX: INTERNATIONAL INVITATION FOR TENDERS BUCHAREST URBAN TRANSPORT REHABILITATION PROJECT RATB Regia Autonoma de Transport Bucuresti (RATB) has received a loan from the European Investment Bank - EIB towards the cost of the Bucharest Urban Transport Rehabilitation Project. This International Invitation for Tenders relates to two contracts for "Dudesti Depot Rehabilitation Works".
The tender will include two packages:
Package 1: Construction works (tram track, track devices, access ways within the depot, constructions, power supply, utility network) and depot automation Package 2: Rehabilitation works for overhead network Tenderers may submit tenders for one or both packages. The bid will be concluded by signing two contracts for works, so that one contract for each of the two above mentioned packages.
The contract relevant to package 1 is expected to be implemented from August 2004 to February 2005.
The contract relevant to package 2 is expected to be implemented from August 2004 to February 2005.
The criterion to be used in the tender evaluation for both packages is:
the most advantageous tender from the technical - economical point of view.
All firms are invited to participate in the bid.

- payment of a non-refundable fee of 3,500,000 ROL for Package 1 and respectively 2,500,000 ROL for Package 2, to RATB Pay Office (RATB & Bucuresti, sector 1- RO 010861, Bd. Dinicu Golescu nr. 1, ground floor), or - payment of a non-refundable fee of 3,500,000 ROL for Package 1 and respectively 2,500,000 ROL for Package 2, to Banca Comerciala Romana, filiala Sector 3, Bd. Decebal, nr. 11, Bl. S14, Sector 3, Bucuresti, account number 2511.1-3.1/ROL, or - payment of a non-refundable fee of an amount in EURO equivalent to 3,500,000 ROL for Package 1 and respectively 2,500,000 ROL for Package 2 at date of purchasing exchange rate, to Banca Comerciala Romana, filiala Sector 3, Bd. Decebal, nr. 11, Bl. S14, Sector 3, Bucuresti, account number 2511.1-3.19/EUR On request, against a faxed copy of the evidence of remittance, the Tender Documents may be sent by courier service if the transport is previously ordered and paid by the Tenderer. RATB bears no responsibility for the delivery in such a case.
A Tender Guarantee of 60,000 EURO fulfilling the conditions indicated in the Tender Documents must accompany the tender for Package 1.
A Tender Guarantee of 7,000 EURO fulfilling the conditions indicated in the Tender Documents must accompany the tender for Package 2.
The deadline for the offers submission is 19.05.2004, 9:30 a.m., local time.
All tenders for package 1 must be delivered in closed envelopes bearing the mention "Depot Dudesti rehabilitation works - Package 1; Not to be opened before 19.05.2004, 11.00 a.m." at the following address: RATB - Bucuresti, sector 1- RO 010861, Bd. Dinicu Golescu nr. 1, 6th floor, Foreign Contracts Office.
All tenders for package 2 must be delivered in closed envelopes bearing the mention "Depot Dudesti rehabilitation works - Package 2; Not to be opened before 19.05.2004, 11.00 a.m." at the following address: RATB - Bucuresti, sector 1- RO 010861, Bd. Dinicu Golescu nr. 1, 6th floor, Foreign Contracts Office.
The tenders will be opened in the presence of Tenderers' representatives designed to attend.
