Titre: 2025-0898097 Orbitrap MS til Kliniske Medicin, MMF
Description: Aarhus University intends to enter into negotiations without prior publication because the product can only be supplied by a particular economic operator due to the absences of competition for technical reasons. MMF has applied advanced mass spectrometry (MS) with Orbitrap mass analyzer. MMF has performed numerous untargeted proteomics studies on the existing LC-MS system (nanoLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap HF-X MS), and has, based on the data, created in-house databases. These databases contain mass spectra and retention time data necessary for integration of data from different studies, performed on existing instrumentation and on the instrument intended to purchase, and for design of new targeted analyses using Parallel Reaction Monitoring, PRM. MMF now intends to purchase a MS, which should deliver high mass resolution proteomics data and enable the necessary integration of data from previous and future studies. Criteria for the analytical instrumentation: - Must have a minimum of 480,000 mass resolution at m/z 200 with less than 1 ppm mass accuracy. - Must be able to resolve the isotopic peaks of TMT-32 plex within one injection. - Must generate data files of the same data format (RAW format) as the existing system of the customer, enabling analytical integration of the new MS system and the existing system (Q Exactive HF-X Orbitrap). - Must be suitable for both untargeted or targeted type (PRM) of analyte screening and be capable of a broad range of qualitative and quantitative proteomics applications. - Should be capable of simultaneous quantitative and qualitative analysis, and there should be possibility to analyze data retrospectively for identification and quantification of new compounds. - Must be capable of spectrum multiplexing and advanced signal processing alongside nanoHPLC compatible data acquisition speed for increased throughput and thus large scale complex proteomics samples. Criteria for the analytical instrumentation - Must have a minimum of 480,000 mass resolution at m/z 200 with less than 1 ppm mass accuracy. The mass spectrometer from Thermo Electron A/S, the Orbitrap Exploris 480 mass analyzers is the only available platform that fulfills the above described criteria.
